What are the new worlds of virtual reality? What could these new worlds offer us that we don't already have. Is it
really making things better?
In the old days, we have heard about the story of Kings who sent their messages by horse men. These messages would
be
coded for privacy to avoid getting in the wrong hands. Then, time went on and we had advanced and got faster with
our
message deliveries and bounties became less of an issue when pigeons became our message carriers. We didn't think
that
was good enough, so along came the phone, the pager, and the fax machines.
Once again technology evolution got us today with fast speed computers, emails, Google/ Zoom and video and texting
capabilities. Could VR be able to enhance these, or just remake them with no changes?
Most of us have been introduced or experienced some form of Virtual Reality from playing games or participating in
art
exhibitions. VR has been in use for some extensive time by the military/ aerospace sector. VR is now being
integrated
into multiple business sectors for a variety of reason.
A technological advance tool used for training fighter jet pilots in flight simulation now has expanded all the way
up
to repairing the Space Station and so much more.
This report will cover the following areas:
- Foundations: Creating Virtual Reality platform - time, materials and affects
- Entertainment: How VR affects watching Movies, Video Games and Travel
- Training: How Virtual reality helps students in high school, trainees in the US Airforce and Doctors
- Health: VR can be used to reduce reliance on antiseptics, help remove phobias, and remotely control robots
to
provide surgeons to remote communities.
At the conclusion of this report, you will see that Virtual Reality has more potential than simply video games. You
would have seen a vast picture of the VR evolution and integration in our everyday needs.
